Choosing a theme feels big because it shapes everything your visitors see. It doesn’t have to take days. Here’s the short checklist we use.
Start with what you’re building
Pick the category first: a shop, a portfolio, a business site or a blog. A theme made for your kind of site will need far fewer changes.
Open the demo on your phone
Most visitors will see your site on a phone. If the demo feels slow or cramped on yours, keep looking.
Check how you’ll edit it
Block themes let you change text, images and layouts in the WordPress editor, without page builders or code.
Read the licence
Make sure the licence covers how many sites you’ll build, and how long updates and support last.
